Exelliq presented the new DIGI.LINE, the first digital profile extrusion line. With DIGI.LINE, the extrusion process for the production of both window profiles and technical profiles is digitally controlled and optimised in real time – an automated process for the most precise geometries of the profiles and maximum savings. The highlight was the live operation of DIGI.LINE in production mode with a simultaneous real-time display of the process parameters. With this premiere, Exelliq drew great interest from the specialists in the audience. In the coming months, the many inquiries will be evaluated to make customised offers for digital upgrades and retrofits.  

Profile extrusion LIVE and customer lounge on 180 m²  

The 180 m² trade booth – including a second storey with a customer lounge – was built for the DIGI.LINE. Several LIVE demonstrations took place every day, where visitors could see for themselves the technology and mode of operation of the DIGI.LINE as well as the expertise at Exelliq. The LIVE demonstrations were moderated by the Exelliq sales staff, and questions from interested visitors were competently answered.

During the eight days of the trade fair, Exelliq made almost 1,000 contacts and held many interesting discussions with existing and prospective “digital customers”, who were also seen to by our trade fair team. Exelliq is looking forward to numerous new orders and many "digital" customers of the DIGI.LINE.

GREINER DIGI.LINE – Automated extrusion process, maximum savings, reproducible parameters

Digitalisation must deliver measurable value. DIGI.LINE confirms this in the harsh production environment of extrusion. It minimises material consumption and increases output. Additionally, it boosts consistency and production reliability in extrusion.

DIGI.LINE elevates profile extrusion to the next level. It is the result of four decades of process experience from Exelliq; specifically the development, design, manufacture and tuning of more than 28,000 profile toolings and 4,500 extrusion lines.  

Central control of all line components

DIGI.LINE enables the central control of all line components. Moreover, an automated and error-free reproduction of process parameters is possible. The core of the DIGI.LINE is made up of DIGI.CONTROL, FLOW.MATIC, DIGI.TANK and DIGI.SCALE modules. Through it, the extrusion process can now be optimised digitally and in real time.

• The new 15‘‘ DIGI.CONTROL connects all line components and digitally controls the entire extrusion process. Moreover, DIGI.CONTROL ensures an automatic and error-free reproduction of the process parameters in subsequent productions.
• FLOW.MATIC ensures the exact geometry of the profile because the functional dimensions of the solid profile sections can now be guaranteed, permanently and fully automatically.
• With DIGI.TANK and SHAPE.MATIC, water level, water flow rate and vacuum settings can be controlled automatically. This reduces potential sources of error to a minimum and ensures maximum consistency in the geometry of the profile.
• DIGI.SCALE with WEIGHT.MATIC saves materials through precise digital in-line profile weighting. Trends in profile weight development can also be called up at any time using the permanent data recording feature of DIGI.CONTROL.
