The northern Italian flat die specialist Simplas has now become a full member of the international network of Exelliq. The Austrian market leader when it comes to extrusion lines, tools and complete systems for profile extrusion continues to grow in the plastic film and sheet extrusion segment and is strengthening its market presence.
Simplas and Exelliq have already been cooperating through a minority shareholding since 2018, which was transferred to a majority shareholding in mid-2020. The two companies have expanded and deepened their strategic partnership: in addition to expanding the global sales network and production capacities in Arcisate/Italy, they have set up their own service centres in Austria and China. On 24.11.2021, Exelliq became the 100% owner of Simplas. This is a clear statement of commitment to the path that has been embarked on together.
There will be an orderly handover at the top of Simplas at the beginning of next year: The long-standing Sales Director Marino Franceschina will succeed Michele Graglia as General Manager, who will continue as a senior advisor. His work and engagement in the past years is very much appreciated and turned Simplas into the prospering company of today. Working together with Operations Manager Massimiliano Terraneo, the success story of Simplas will be continued in an effort to further expand the product and service portfolio for film and sheet extrusion, coating and adhesive applications on an international scale.
